What Happens During Your Visit
Before your first visit, you’ll be sent a full health questionnaire to complete at home. This gives you the chance to share your medical history and current concerns in your own time. We’ll then go through it together during your first consultation, along with some simple tests, to help me understand what’s going on and decide on the best course of action.
This first appointment is all about getting a clear picture of your health, so I can make sure any treatment is safe, appropriate, and tailored to your needs. If I feel chiropractic care isn’t the right option for you, I’ll always let you know and suggest what might be more helpful instead.
At follow-up appointments, we’ll touch base to see how you’ve responded to treatment, talk through any changes, and continue with care as needed.
My approach is based on the McTimoney method—a gentle, whole-body technique that’s helped people of all ages for over 50 years. It’s precise and effective, without the need for forceful or heavy-handed adjustments, making it ideal for anyone feeling nervous or in pain.
I may also use tools like the ArthroStim, which delivers quick, light adjustments that are easier on the body, and the Rapid Release Pro 2, which helps loosen tight or scarred tissue and ease muscle tension.
You’ll stay fully clothed during treatment—just wear something light and comfortable. Depending on the area being treated, you may be asked to remove a jumper or thick shirt.
Every session is adapted to how you’re feeling that day. Often, we’ll start with some soft tissue work around the area of concern, reassess your movement, and do any further adjustments if needed.
